Jeremy Barron

Jeremy Barron has most recently served as an adjunct professor teaching a course in entrepreneurship at Colby College, where he graduated in 2000 with a BA in biology and anthropology. His course, “New Enterprises,” taught students the frameworks of the Lean Canvas and the Disciplined Entrepreneurship methodologies, while working with students to generate business ideas, deliver elevator pitches, and to present formal business pitches to a panel of early-stage investors. In addition to teaching, Jeremy serves as a Mentor with the Roux Institute’s TechStars program in Portland, Maine. Prior to his new career in start-up education and mentorship, Jeremy earned an MBA from MIT Sloan, where he co-founded and served as the Chief Customer Officer for the highly successful software and video accessibility company 3Play Media. 3Play Media, a MassChallenge winner in 2010, has grown to be an industry leader, utilizing artificial intelligence to create and deploy video search and accessibility solutions to the hearing and visually impaired. Riverside Capital, a Boston-based private equity firm, purchased a majority interest of 3Play Media in 2019.
