The Better Maine Conference: Creating Equitable Workspaces is Dirigo Labs’ third annual conference on November 7th, in partnership with Skowhegan Center for Entrepreneurship, dedicated to educating, discussing, and making actionable steps towards diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) in Central Maine. Building on past years topics of Building Inclusive Workplaces and Growing a Diverse Workforce, this year we will focus on equity in the workspace and creating an environment where all employees can thrive.
The conference includes multiple speakers, panelists, and breakout sessions throughout the day, all of which are hosted in downtown Waterville. Our keynote speaker will be Ariel Ricci.

We are thrilled to be screening Show Her the Money as part of the conference this year. Show Her the Money addresses how women are getting less than 2% of venture capital funding and demystifies what venture capital is, additional information can be found here. We will follow the film with a panel featuring women funders and founders.
